Preparation

Here you will get more information about my preparation for the expedition. Such a trip begins much earlier, than it starts!

Flight booked

We have booked our flight from Zurich to Santiago de Chile and back. We will fly with LAN Chile Airlines, which has a good rating. We booked in a travel agency, so they have already registered our bikes on all flights. This moment, its is not exactly clear, how we will handle the trailers. 

Tent bought

I have bought the new tent, after a long evaluation time. See it under Our equipment / The tent.

Trailers bought

We have bought our new trailers. See them under Our equipment / Our trailers.

Waterfilter bought

I have bought the waterfilter for filtering our drinking water. See it under Our equipment / The waterfilter.

Inoculations

I had to let me administer several inoculations: Hepatitis A+B / Anti-rabies. 

Spanish course

Until the start of the expedition, I will be in a spanish course.

Drugs bought

For our trip, we have to carry several drugs with us. Special drugs for acute mountain sickness (ams) included.

Bike boxes bought

We will transport the bike and the trailer in the same box. So we had to find one, which fits for both.

Insurances

Very important: The right insurances! We have for travel abruption, luggage losing and for health with international assistance!

Material purchasing

Almost all material, that I didn't have before, is now bought. We are almost ready for the trip!
